Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American sportscaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from her age of nine. This ability that helped her get her first position as a Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she relocated to Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent for KNVO TV 48 Univision. In addition to reporting on issues related to trafficking in drugs and immigration on both sides of Mexico-Texas border, she was a reporter for the 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and later anchor for news at 9 p.m. newscast in English and also a reporter again for news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. The station also frequently asked her to be anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she has more responsibility. She was a reporter for events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason as well as the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. The family moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. There is a sister. There is an older sibling. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. Her residence was in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer and was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior high school student however, she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. She graduated from school and was enrolled at the University as an undergraduate major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager at WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was an affiliate. He was the one who boosted her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she was determined to exceed his expectations and never let him down.
